About the Hispanic Scholarship Fund

The Hispanic Hispanic Scholarship fund (HSF) is the nation's leading organization supporting Hispanic higher education. Founded in 1975, HSF's vision is to strengthen the country by advancing college education among Hispanic Americans, the fastest-growing segment of the U.S population.

In support of its mission to double the rate of Hispanics earning college degrees, HSF, a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization, provides the Latino/a community more college scholarships and educational outreach support than any other organization in the country.

Vision

The HSF Scholar Chapter Network exists to promote academic success and student engagement among Latino/a college students, while encouraging them to serve as role models and leaders in their communities.

Structure

HSF Scholar Chapters are open to all students on campus. HSF has designed a national curriculum for all Scholar Chapters & Student Coordinators at each university with HSF staff to tailor Chapter programming to the needs of each campus and the local community. While some programming is geared towards the needs of Latino/a students, you do not have to be Latino/a or an HSF scholarship recipient to participate!
